This program was specifically designed for HCLC. The objective of the program is to provide a supportive and positive learning experience in which students are empowered to develop communication and leadership skills, resulting in greater self-confidence and personal growth.

HCLC partnered with Toastmasters International. Toastmasters International is a US headquartered nonprofit educational organization that operates 150,000 clubs worldwide for the purpose of
promoting leadership.

HCLC & Toastmasters developed a program for our 4th & 5th graders to practice public speaking, improve communication and build leadership skills.

In this program , students will work
Delivering prepared speeches for 5 to 7 minutes. Delivering impromptu speeches of 2 to 3 minutes
Receiving feedback & evaluation, to help the speakers improve. Research & presentation using
Organizing debates or panels of discussion, on current and controversial subjects.
